Melvin's Steakhouse opens daily at 4:30 pm. May to September; Thursday - Sunday in April and October.
Melvin's Steakhouse was Ocean City's original steakhouse, opened in 1954. After 50 years in business, it was closed and put up for sale in October 2004. A local business owner purchased the restaurant in 2006. As Melvin's Steakhouse was a fond memory of regular visitors and locals of Ocean City - as the new owner had been so frequently told by customers - he wanted to keep the restaurant true to its roots. The name was kept and Melvin's Steakhouse is largely reminiscent of it's original state. They still specialize in hand-cut steaks and home-made desserts. They also offer a salad bar and Dayton's Fried Chicken.
